As I’m sure you are all aware, today saw the official launch of the national Poppy Appeal.

This year the Legion are undertaking a major social media campaign to capture public support and encouragement for the British Armed Forces. Members of the public are being encouraged to visit the new Shoulder to Shoulder microsite to upload a picture of themselves or a loved one, pin to it a virtual poppy and add a personal message of support for our Forces. The photo will then be added to the interactive wall where you will be seen standing shoulder to shoulder with thousands of others in support of the Poppy Appeal.

I want to see as many of your lovely faces as possible! If you would like to upload your photo and a special message, just head over to the site and show some Legion spirit. I’ll be keeping you all updated on the website over the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
