I have some great fundraising news to tell you all about today. To help support The Royal British Legion, Shire Heroes will be holding an Armed Forces Gala Ball in Northampton at Franklin Gardens on Friday 28^th of October. The ball is shaping up to be one of the best charity events this year, and will start with a drinks reception, followed by a banquet dinner. There will be a range of entertainment for guests to enjoy, including music, magic, an auction and, of course, plenty of dancing!

The event is a great way for businesses to come together under the corporate and social responsibility initiative and support our Armed Forces and veterans. Commenting chairman, Charles Macadam, said: “One of our founder members has a member of the family who was seriously injured serving in Afghanistan, so it makes it especially poignant for us.  The support of the business community and our volunteer committee has been overwhelming – there is such a strong sense of duty to our troops that we want to play our part.”
