The RBL Gets Families Baking for Poppy Appeal’s 90th

flossie

Hi guys,

Are you a kitchen wizard? You may be interested to know that The Royal British Legion is launching ‘Recipes for Remembrance,’ a perfect pocket-sized baking book with recipes from children’s baking star Flossie Crums. This is going to help families, schools and children mark the 90th Anniversary of the Poppy Appeal. My mouth is watering already!

The result of an inspirational link up with Flossie Crums creator Helen Nathan, the full colour pocket-sized book features children’s baking ‘star’ Flossie Crums and her brother Billie talking about the Legion, its work and the role of the Poppy. It also unveils 10 new recipes divided into ‘Easy Peasy,’ ‘Not Too Tricky,’ and ‘Worth the Effort’ sections.

Beautifully photographed and illustrated, there are some great Remembrance themed recipes ranging from  ‘Mini Poppy Cupcakes,’ ‘No Need to Knead Poppyseed Bread,’ a special ‘Eleven O’Clock Remembrance Day Cake,’ and even a ‘Welcome Home Cupcake Tower’ for Service men and women returning home from a tour of duty. Now that’s Legion spirit!

‘Recipes for Remembrance’ costs just £2.50 and you can get hold of it from the Poppy Shop and via Flossie’s web site. All of the book’s profits will go towards supporting the Armed Forces and their families.
